Antique Pair of Asian Gilt Bronze Censers/ Koro feature Hawks standing with wings spread on tree limbs. Each hawk is removable from the branch base and has a lidded compartment on its back. These pieces came from a large collection of Japanese bronzes and we believe these may be Japanese pieces from the Meiji era. The pieces each measure approximately 12.5 inches tall, 9 inches long, 7 inches wide, and have a combined weight of 22 pounds.
