Antique Chinese Bronze Vase, Hu, with 2 Circular loose ring Handles. The vase has various auspicious symbols around on a geometric ground. Between the handles on each side are the Chinese symbols for “blessing, happiness and prosperity”. The base of the vase is inscribed with “Great Ding of Longevity (May My) descendants cherish it for eternity”. The vase measures approximately 10 inches tall and 9 inches long and deep. There is a bend on the foot of the vase which causes a slight wobble.

Antique Meiji Period Japanese Kutani Red Bowl With Wood Stand. The Bowl has 3 panels of images with figures inside and 3 panels with different plants around the outside. The bowl measures approximately 9-31/4 inches in diameter and 4-3/4 inches tall including the wood stand and approximately 3-1/2 inches tall without the stand.

This beautiful large Japanese Bronze Koro/Incense Burner with cover features standing Samurai warriors facing a seated figure on a finely cast intricate patterned background. The reverse shows two sparrows among exotic foliage. The bottom of the main bulbous section is signed “Shokaken Kore Chu” and is set with a pair of dragon handles. The container is supported by five mythological turtles forming the legs. The plinth contains images of 3 dead insects while the cover is topped by a standing hunter and hound dog. The koro weighs 25.5 pounds, measures 26 inches tall including the cover, and 15 inches from handle to handle. There is a pinhead size hole in the main body and an uneven section of the cover’s rim. One handle has some splitting and the other handle probably taken off and glued back with the original piece. Except for the above issues this bronze koro / incense burner is in overall good antique condition.

Antique Pair of Asian Gilt Bronze Censers/ Koro feature Hawks standing with wings spread on tree limbs. Each hawk is removable from the branch base and has a lidded compartment on its back. These pieces came from a large collection of Japanese bronzes and we believe these may be Japanese pieces from the Meiji era. The pieces each measure approximately 12.5 inches tall, 9 inches long, 7 inches wide, and have a combined weight of 22 pounds.
