Antique circa 1920’s Terracotta Pottery tile by San Ildefonso Pueblo artist Awa Tsireh (1898-1955). Awa Tsireh was also known as Alfonso Roybal and Cattail Bird. The relief tile depicts a bird that has been painted black. The back of the tile is stamped “GEO. P. HEINZ CO. DENVER”. The tile measures approximately 4-3/4 inches square and 5/8 inches thick.
